Can Beo Birds Speak?
Actually no. Parrots are only able to simulate the sounds heard: human voices, alarm clocks, creaking doors, the sounds of other animals. In nature, parrots usually live in many groups. In captivity, where they lose the opportunity to communicate with relatives, social instincts lead them to imitate the voice of human speech, to build relationships with two-legged friends. All birds make a sound, passing through the airstream through the more complicated lower trachea (bottom larynx). Parrots in this process play a large role and language: little change in position in the mouth, these birds can make various sounds.

Can the birds count?
Primates are not the only animals that can count objects. The ability of arithmetic is not inferior to some birds. American birds count egg-laying eggs to protect themselves from the need to incubate eggs that can be planted in their nests by immoral representatives of their own kind. Bald bald men immediately recognize someone else's egg and, do not intend to incubate it, are pushed out to the end of the nest. Then the nest hostess continues to lay eggs until the clutch reaches a certain size (usually 8 eggs). Counting the pending eggs, the grip of a female eliminates the need to care for other boys and, thus, increases the likelihood of survival of their own children.

Do birds know their relatives?
The Northwestern crows of America learned "in advance" not only from their families, but also from aliens. With their relatives much more friendly than strangers. Take food from the crow in the order. But if the "robber" is associated with the owner of the delicacies, he manifests his aggressive intentions somewhat hesitantly, slowly approaching his relatives and more often leaving his prey to his rival. If the birds are not related to kinship, "robbers" rush quickly to the food owner and try to attack his beak. And if the victim tries to fly, he starts the persecution.

Why is the woodpecker not experiencing a concussion?
To protect the brain from the harmful effects of strong and rhythmic beak collisions with tree trunks, the woodpecker is equipped with a number of special adaptations. The skull is about twice as thick as the other bones of the bird, and the brain is surrounded by twice as much fluid as it prevents it from colliding with the skull wall.

But the most important is the way anti-shock - special arrangement and the beak structure. Unlike other birds, the beak is placed tightly at the center of the skull, the trigger slightly shifting downwards. Because of this, the force that occurs when the beak invades the tree does not affect the brain, but is transmitted to the skull bone. Secondly, the trigger has a special cartilage that absorbs and softens the power of the blow. All of these "silencers" and "shocks" reliably protect the brain and other structures from the woodpecker's head from endless shocks and allow birds all day to peck trees for food and everything for home.
