Actually no. Parrots are only able to simulate the sounds heard: human voices, alarm clocks, creaking doors, the sounds of other animals. In nature, parrots usually live in many groups. In captivity, where they lose the opportunity to communicate with relatives, social instincts lead them to imitate the voice of human speech, to build relationships with two-legged friends. All birds make a sound, passing through the airstream through the more complicated lower trachea (bottom larynx).
