I took a picture of this baby cardinal on a tree. Something interesting I learned about these birds is that they were named after the Cardinals of the Catholic Church..who wear red religious robes. They aren't red when they are really young like this but when they grow up they are so beautiful.

thanks..I always feel so blessed when special little guys like this trust me to come close, once I even got one to perch on my hand if you can believe it. I think when they are young they have not yet learned to fear people.
