
The little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius)
In the photo you can see a typical habitat of these little sandpipers. Namely, these are the bare sandy and pebble banks of the rivers. In these places he is looking for all kinds of water insects and spiders. And he nests on the sandy shores, having a nest right on the ground.

He has a funny behavior. He will run a little over the stones, then stop, look around, then take a few steps again, look around again.
Pretty trusting. Obviously, thanks to the habitats, he is used to seeing fishermens, and from that he is not afraid of people.
