The BIG 3-0 - African Style!

"I TURNED 30!!" Seems like a good first Steemit Post! For my birthday, I went with an African-themed get-together (tribal face paint included!). Oh yeah, I'm from Malawi, Africa. You probably know it through "dollar a day" ads etc. but it's got so much more to offer--not saying it doesn't have problems, just that it's not the "shithole" that some might say nor the "land of depression" that ads to make you donate a dollar a day might make it out to be. Hopefully, my posts can shed light on what you can look forward to if you come here for holiday or work or whatever...

A friend of mine, Evan (on the left below), owns a bar inside the National Stadium--which seats 40,000 people--and so you know I had to use that connect for a venue. Also, not admitting to anything but sometimes the guards "dissappear", leaving the stadium unlocked and one has the opportunity to walk onto the pitch of a 40,000 seat stadium at night! :D

And a few pictures to end it off: 2nd from left is Taonga, a really talented young researcher; 3rd from the left is Steve, he's a really good producer...that also looks like Malcolm X when he has his glasses on; 5th from the left is George Kalukusha, one of the best soufull singers in Malawi (YouTube and Facebook him) and last from the left is Aurther-this guy came to my house and stole a glass being all like "Don't worry, man I make these, I'll bring you 5" It's been over a month...still waiting!

Oh yeah, and Red Lounge is also where we recently started a Salsa Group! Still learning though, that's why I look so serious!

And yeah, I have hot friends too! :D lol #FriendZoning!
