Roger Ver aka Bitcoin Jesus Creating a Libertarian Country ?

Ideas rule the world and people who have the passion to pursue their ideas to fruition are usually at the helm of affairs. Roger Ver is one such person pushing their ideas to the farthest parts of the world. He is called Bitcoin Jesus by many, preaching his version of the gospel of Bitcoin.

He was an early Bitcoin investor and he played an active role in funding many of the early Bitcoin related startups. He has invested in startups such as Bitpay, Purse.io and Kraken.

A Decentralised World
Roger Ver believes in a decentralized world with technological advancement and cryptocurrency at the forefront. He says,

“A better world won’t be won with votes, guns, bombs, or tanks. It will be won with encryption, 3D printing, meshnets, drones, and bitcoin .”
He is not only interested in cryptocurrency but also has an ambition for a free country. He had coined up the theme a “non country” for his vision of a libertarian country from David Friedman’s The Machinery of Freedom. He has started a project 'Free Society' geared towards raising money for the libertarian country.

He also started his own computer business at Age 25 and became a millionaire. He has been a voluntaryist investor since 2011 and  nicknamed Bitcoin Jesus for his active role in advocating Bitcoin.

The Ver Controversy
Controversy seems to trail the founder of MemoryDealers.com ranging from a visa denial in 2015 to being arrested for selling explosives on Ebay. This has not stopped the early adopter whose clients had to make payments in bitcoins from amassing an estimated 400,000 bitcoins by early 2018.

He made a statement that caused a debate on Bitcoin when he stated his concerns about the future of the flagship cryptocurrency and his analysis of how viable it will be considering the bulk of speculative interest. He also defended a fork, through which Bitcoin Cash was born, where he pushed for an increase to block size limit. His reason was that, "The fact of the matter is, the utility of bitcoin has been damaged."

Ver is currently the CEO of Bitcoin.com; you can purchase bitcoin as well as get the latest bitcoin related news on the website. He also became chairman of MGT Capital Investment’s Cryptocurrency Advisory Board in 2016. Ver still continues to be involved with bitcoin projects and continues to press for the adoption of bitcoin in businesses and industries world wide.

The Bitcoin Jesus also provides support for crypto startups in the world. The actualization of his libertarian utopia is one the crypto space anticipates.

I'm definitely interested in his non-country idea. We could have a virtual "nation," but we still need places to live that are outside the jurisdiction of governments.

Liberland is working to purchase other land around the globe too. I won't move to Eastern Europe, but I would certainly buy into a project in Latin America or similar.
