It is my believe that the bitcoin (btc) might not rise to the meteoric heights (eg $1,000,000/btc) that some have predicted.
And the reasons are easily seen.
There are so many cryptos on the scene right now.
And while many do not carry much value, quite a lot are bringing real value to the table.
Altcoins that easily come to mind include

4). Ethereum
5). And our very own powerful steem.
Of course, there are many more
Now, the more we as investors allocate our funds to these other altcoins, the less funds available for btc capitalisation.
Also, many realise that to profit from value appreciation, it is easier to make 10x or 100x profits on the powerful (but yet undervalued) altcoins.
So if the current trend continues, bitcoins may get to around $100,000 and stall around there (establish a psychological level there) in a few short years. It may never get there also depending on what happens with the consensus about its regulation and what not.
