Six years ago, in January 2013, we published a special issue of our libertarian magazine Blink which had only one topic: Bitcoin. Although some time has passed, many of its articles are still worthwile reading.
You find articles by Rick Falkvinge, Erik Voorhees, Mike Hearn, Dominic Frisby, Jörg Platzer, Jonathan Logan, Frank Braun, Thorsten Polleit, Juraj Bednar, Oscar Fonseca Gomez and me in this issue, as well as interviews with Gavin Andresen, Max Min and two anonymous cryptoanarchists.
Except Mike Hearn, who dropped out of the Bitcoin universe in 2016, all the other authors and interviewees are still active Bitcoiners. Back in 2013 our goal was to create an issue which would not depend on current news, but would be rather timeless. I think this has worked out quite well, but judge for yourself.
The only thing that is completely obsolete in this magazine from January 2013 is the Bitcoin exchange rate: back then we cheered about the incredibly high Bitcoin price of 13 dollars – today it is more than 4000 dollars!
Blink existed from October 2011 to January 2013. We published four issues, each on a different subject. The first issue (in German only) was about the Euro crisis. We charged 0.66 Bitcoins per download, which was about one Euro then. The Bitcoin special, which came in a German and an English version, was Blink's fourth and last issue.
Here it is for you as a free download. Please upvote this post, if you like it.
