Can You Make a Living From Airdrops?

How much can you make on airdrops alone? Is it even worth participating? Where can you find such opportunities early enough?

I will try to answer those questions and introduce you to some potential opportunities for future airdrops. 

The crypto world is evolving faster than ever and with it come many creative ways to make your project stand out from the many. One way to achieve that is giving away coins and tokens of the project to its supporters for free. There are various kinds of give-aways — in its earliest days we simply called it bounty campaigns (mostly announced in bitcointalk.org), others did Proof of Caring and some projects decided to cancel their ICO and simply give away tokens for free.

How much money is in a good airdrop?

A great example of a strong project with a valuable airdrop is IoTeX. The team offered many different ways to earn some free IOTEX tokens such as a refer-a-friend scheme for their telegram community. With that you were able to earn around $10 in free IoTeX.

If you multiply that with the project’s current market price this is around $70 and could easily turn into $300 once their mainnet is live. If you live in Thailand that’s already a free month of living right there.

But IoTeX was not a one of a kind opportunity. A recently announced airdrop comes from DFINITY. The team announced a token giveaway of up to 2,500CHF (CHF = Swiss Francs) worth of tokens to you! Our strategy is to join only the best and most promising airdrops available. We select the best or most valued among the many projects that are going live every day. We can not and we will not join them all. We don’t want to waist your time nor our own time. There is still no guarantee, but big chance some of the projects will gain you a great profit. Sometimes it can also be very profitable to join a bounty-program. Especially when there are not so many participants. It will take you some time, but you can easily earn a couple of thousands of Dollars worth in tokens of the specific project.
