My crypto journey from Nepal.

Hello I am Amulya Shakya from Nepal. I am a web designer/developer but my interest and passion lie in several feilds from technology, art, music and travelling. I am a lover of crypto economics and love the whole idea of decentralized community. I knew about crypto since early 2004. I heard about it through the internet when I was browsing some darknet web site. I was interested to know more about it and I started my research from that moment. At that time crypto was not even main stream and the value of Bitcoin was just around some cents. I started to learn more about crypto currency by listening to podcasts from let's talk Bitcoin. The more I began learning the more interesting it became for me. Slowly I started learning how to mine crypto currency like Bitcoin and litecoin using a miner called cminer. My PC didn't have a high end graphics card and other requirements so I could not mine much. My breakthrough moment in crypto currency came in 2016 when I had an opportunity to trade Bitcoin for Nepalese currency here in the local market. The trade using to happen through online means but without the use of exchanges. I met people and then exchanged it for cash. At that time Bitcoin price was something around 700-800$. This was early September. For trading I had someone who was living in the foreign country who wanted Nepalese currency. After few months of trading the value of BTC began to increase and I was lucky to have more and more people this increased my earnings. Everything was going quite well for around 3 months. Then from January that year Bitcoin prices started to rise very rapidly. There were some days when the price even rose by 1000$. Nepal is a small market economy. The people here are not that rich so they could not afford to pay 12k$ for a single BTC. People who purchased BTC from me in the early September strated to accumulated lots and lots of money and some people who had money started to keep me in constant contact. They had high hopes for that the price would increase more and more. At that time I was very active because I used to keep low margin when trading. For me it was easy because I didn't have to invest any money to sell. If someone needed BTC I could contact the person who was selling it online from abroad and decide my own margin and sell it to them. The price of Bitcoin reached new heights to 18k$ per coin and the some people who invested in early September started to purchase house, cars and some other also went for expensive vacation by selling them. Some people would just wait and hold hoping that the price would increase more. I didn't make any investment for my shelf which was not a wise decision. I still regret not investing any money in Bitcoin because I didn't have good amount of money at that time. After February 2018 the price started to follow downtrend. Many people who purchased at 18k stated panicking, while some would just wait and hold with high hopes of increaseing again. But unfortunately the price started to tumbel down towards the 6k$ Marks and many people were already loosing lots and lots of money. Within 7 months Bitcoin was devaluated to 3k$ per coin and the Nepalese people began realizing that I was a gamble. Currently very less people are investing in Bitcoin, and I have also already stopped doing any trading of crypto. It's March 2019 and it looks like the smell is again coming back. Let's see if we are again on a run for another bull market.
