John McAfee started making coin and ICO reviews in Twitter. Shocking, I know!
While it may be a great practice to educate the masses and raise awareness for great coins and projects, it also may be a plan to cash out before a huge crash in the cryptocurrency market comes soon. I hope it is the former, but I am not that concerned with John McAfee right now.
I am more interested in how me and you make money out of it. So far, he mentioned two ICOs and three coins. Every single one of them mooned with price soaring at least 50%. BURST soared 252% after his tweet, DigiByte soared 97% and Electroneum spiked 38% gain in a day when the whole market was slashed with 30% downward correction and almost everything else was red.
In order for us to make money, we have to be amongst the first ones that act after his tweet. Speed of buying is the only factor here. And bots can’t beat us this time. So here is how we are doing it in 9 quick and simple steps.
STEP 1 – Enable Twitter to send push notifications to your phone
STEP 2 - Open up John McAfee’s profile on twitter and follow him
STEP 3 - Turn on the notifications for his tweets
STEP 4 – Spread your available BTC amount for trading equally amongst exchanges where undervalued coins are traded
Binance, Bittrex, HitBTC, Cryptopia should cover the most coins.
STEP 5 - Be logged in to exchanges constantly in the browser of your device
Be sure your PC is clean, because this will increase the risk of your funds being stolen by hackers. If you doubt your computer may be compromised, don’t do it.
STEP 6 – Turn off all confirmations for executing a trade such as Two-factor authentication
Again, be 100% sure your PC is clean before you do this.
STEP 7 - Be in a minute’s reach away from your PC
Especially between 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM UTC time, when he has been posting his reviews so far.
STEP 8 - Buy as soon as you can
You don’t need to make a research about the coin. You don’t even need to know what it is. It is mooning! Guaranteed!
Use the market buy order to be sure the trade will go through immediately, provided you are not too late for the party and there isn't a big spread already. This is not the time to save 0.1% of exchange trading fees.
STEP 9 - Place limit sell orders gradually starting at 50% and up
If the coin has really small market cap (less than $50M), you can start profit taking at 70-80% and up.
Easy game. Not much skill needed, no complex technical analysis and indicators needed. Just speed and preparation.
How legal is what John McAfee is doing? I hope he has made his legal research. He should have.
Can this strategy become obsolete?
Yes, it can. Once John McAfee makes enough coin hype reviews, there will be a pattern and common traits between them. His taste and liking will become predictable. People will be able to predict what his next coin reviews might be and load with coins beforehand. The market will have priced-in his reviews before he has made them. Everybody will sell when he makes the announcement. But for the next 5 to 10 coins, I can assume the chances of that happening are very low.
EDIT 29 December 2017: Bots that screen for keywords in John McAfee's tweets and auto-buys on exchanges in less than a second have been launched. So, there is no way to be faster than them, save for designing a faster bot.
