It happened. After a few weeks of reading about blockchain, and cryptocurrency, and bitcoin, and alt coins, and forks, and spoons (unrelated, but I was hungry), I finally decided it was time to join the revolution.
So I did. I can now call myself a proud investor in cryptocurrency. All 0.00857 of it.
And since I bought, the price has only gone down. But I guess I am a hodler now. So hodl I will.
Does Bitcoin or cryptocurency really have the power to change the world? Is it going to be the new currency? Is it going to be as big as "the internet"?
I don't know if anyone can say for sure.. but it's definitely interesting. Why can't it? Money has never made sense, that's why when you talk to kids about poor people, or having a lack of money, they have a simple solution to just print more, and give it to everyone.
I haven't invested that much in Bitcoin, and I probably won't. I'm not hoping to make millions from it, but I also won't lose too much. Right now i'm just interested in the new technology, and it's a good way to keep some focus on it.
