The issue I see with this is btc is no longer permissionless. They now need the permission from third parties such as coinbase, exchanges, wallets, etc to function with segwit/lightning. Also, these lightning hubs may become centralized and demand licensing if they're labled money transmitters. Biggest issue I see is that btc is no longer permissionless.
