Personally, I don’t think blockchain technology will brought to mainstream media attention and use until a large company/network makes use of it. For example, if a brand like Twitter or Snapchat started to mess with blockchain technology on new features or apps all together then it would become mainstream and raise mass attention that would draw more people into it. Unfortunately until then, blockchain technology will continue to be underutilized and fly under the mass’s attention.

Major companies are using it, except the firms applying it are dealing with far more complex operations than Snapchat.
