So, cryptocurrency trading is currently illegal in Russia? I suppose mining is allowed...

If that computer was unused, I am not sure it was "State Treason". This is just proof that statists are not entrepreneurial at all.

The smart thing to do was to let them to continue do it and tax them, maybe even allocate more machines, if the mining was profitable.
