CENSORSHIP in 2017+ Means Death for THEM Not for YOU.. #WinterisComing | WINTER = CHANGE | STEEMIT's Larger Investors Leaving

in bitcoin •  7 years ago  (edited)

In 399 BC, Greek philosopher, Socrates, defied attempts by the Greek state to censor his philosophical teachings and was sentenced to death by drinking a poison.

Suppression of speech, public communication, or other information that may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or INCONVENIENT as determined by governments, media outlets, authorities or other GROUPS or institutions.

Some of Steemit's larger investors are Quietly leaving due to Censorship:

Very interesting observation. Seems the debate as to why these larger accounts are in 'Power Down' mode will heat up the more it becomes noticed.
It could be due to the censorship issue (even though I've been hammered fairly hard on that topic nearly as much as I have on the subjective subject of 'spam' ;) ), even though the White Papers state censorship does not exist in steemit for the users. It could be because they are bored or fed up with the platform, or maybe even planing to move on to an alternative. Or it could even be they earned enough to get that new car or home they dreamed of when they first started here.
Yet after reading the White Papers and having a better understanding of the capability and multiple purposes of this platform, I am confident it's not going to die because a few Whales cashed out.
P.S. Side Note:
I owe you an apology for all that b.s. I pulled in craig grant's posts. I did what I did based on what I was observing without the knowledge of the White Papers, and now see he (and many others) are only doing what the White Papers have given a blessing to - what and how they operate here. At least you put in an effort to set me straight, despite flagging me, and pushed me to read those White Papers to better educate myself & to work to make this account successful despite my mistakes- Thank You @avva.

I don't think it's going to die from anyone set of people cashing out.. it's going to die because of competition. Within the next year or so -- the same person that built this project -- is building a new blockchain with the ability for "applications" with human language and cross platform communication at lightning speed = EOS.

Since, I've turned you a new leaf into research (ha ha), go to YouTube and watch Dan speak on his new project now that he's left Steemit. EOS is going to be like "internet FOR the blockchain" only better because we will control all our own various accounts independent and decentralized. EOS tokens are up for grabs right now.. Maybe you start stacking tokens now, while they are cheap.

I've already come across a company building something that competes with Steemit called https://karbon.io/

They aren't totally a blogging platform, but it integrates into something that is a mix between Amazon, a debit card and FB. It's 'bout to get REAL GOOD in blockchain REAL soon. Steemit is just the 1st "Interation" of the Social Blockchain.
