What are my top picks for 2018?

I have been asked over and over again by many what my favourite coin is or what people should invest their money in. I have decided to write a post to explain my top 5 choices and the 'why' and please keep in mind everyone I am not a financial advisor and always invest with risk that is within your ability. These are ALL my personal opinions and I can always be wrong.

1. NEO
Anyone that knows me knows I have always said NEO is a good buy. Having crossed 100 USD today. I think the long term future is bright. The short term there might be a retrace. This will in a few years be a 4 digit coin. Its amazing to see it cross 3 digits having personally been invested since the Antshares days. It was quite scary then as I was investing in a coin with the photo of an 'ant' on it and promising to do what Ethereum did.

WHY IS NEO THE CHOSEN ONE?

2. ETHOS
What a coin! This has recently had a spectacular run. If you are like me and hate Coinbase this is the perfect coin to dump a few dollars into everytime Coinbase locks you out, asks for more ID, blocks your withdrawal. They look to create a fiat gateway to trade crypto and other securities (commodities and stocks) most importantly a 'universal wallet' to store ALL coins. Yes ALL coins. This is unheard of! HODL your sweet ETHOS as we ascend higher. This is real sleeper of a coin.

3. POWER LEDGER
POWR on! This coin has been one of the most successful ICO's as of recent. Solid team. Solid project. Solid vision. This is the airbnb of electricity to simplify things. They have an incredible team - just google each one of them. There are some solid partnerships such as the one with a Thai company and it even received an $8mn grant from the Australian Government! Looking forward to big things from the team at POWR. Rumours of Elon Musk poking around? Who knows anything is possible...

4. IOTA
Eye-Oh-Ta. La-di-da. This coin will change the world. It is quantum proof. It is transaction fee free (Don't we all hate sending BTC?) and it is scalable! The tangle grows with users. I think with the number of partnerships with the likes of Bosch and Volkswagen it will only be time until we see this coin applied more and more! Keep an eye out for this as it looks to create a machine to machine economy. A what? 5. ETHEREUM
Bitcoin's younger brother who can do much more? Smart contracts. ICO's and soon moving to Proof-of-stake. I will explain Ethereums upcoming developments in a future post. Ethereum has a lot of upgrades coming to improve its scalability. Who remembers cryptokitties? These cute little things clogged our network and showed some of the issues ETH has with large numbers of transactions. Hoping that Raiden is coming to the rescue. This will be an interesting coin to own and watch as so many ICO's use the Ethereum platform. Is 2018 the year of Ethereum pulling a run like Bitcoin in 2017? Strap in and lets see how we go.
