It was around $820 USD that day and $1124 CAD and I blogged a short form post a year ago on it:
I have blogged a ton on many markets and coins since joining Steemit.
I find the history and related PERSPECTIVE -- crucial to function with and remind myself of daily -- as well as teach/remind others to do the same.
This post relates to that philosophy.
Here's where we are in $CAD a year to the day later, despite the DIPS, Corrections, and "crashes" which I rarely call in and use that word knowing the new money, markets and volatility of the Crypto Life:

In the last THIRTY days alone --- we have touched $25k CAD, $21k and today-- $19k $CAD --- all as recent milestones in the ATH department;

Look at the other end of the chart where we are now.

Please note -- I will have limited internet access for awhile -- so PLEASE do not be upset that I cannot reply right away, or to everyone. I am dealing with some changes, and will have limited time online and will be happy if I get a few blog posts up a week.
This has really upset some people but I do not force my opinions on others, or need to communicate every detail of my life or issues, most people do not care anyways. I invested around 10 hours or more a day on Steemit most of my first 13 mths here, I just do not have that time in my life right now, and that includes for replies and voting/curation.
I have done my best, sorry if you do not understand like some are clearly having a problem with. It's a blogging platform, and I will do my best at everything, and to keep blogging.

It's absolutely crazy how far bitcoin pumped this year. Even the most optimistic bitcoiners such as myself never imagined 15k+ prices in 2017.
I don't care how much experience you have with Forex (I have 10), stocks and bonds - nobody could have foreseen bitcoin's insane really in 2017, nobody.

Like most, I got into bitcoin a bit late, although earlier than many so I can't complain. I'm still holding my bitcoin, but I've gradually started researching other coins (my own research!) in the hopes of finding the next bitcoin. 3 and even 4-digit % increases are happening still so I'm hoping to become a millionaire through the success of an altcoin...but I wish I had become a bitcoin millionaire, not gonna lie lol.

Honestly I wish I had tried it years ago. I afraid of this new "money" and ran away from it. I am now jumping on this steemit train and trying to learn the ropes. I am amazed at how bitcoin grew. I am shock how its a bit "stuck" right now. This is all just so amazing to follow.
