This battle between bitcoin and bitcoin cash still rages and is doing nothing but damaging the adoption of cryptocurrency.
Roger Ver who was an early adopter of bitcoin and helped in its development in the early years (which btw not much has changed with bitcoin over the many of years) started a battle and launched bitcoin cash when Segwit was not adopted into bitcoin. Which guess what Bitcoin cash has and the new fork is going to remove it lol
The newest bitcoin cash fork is going to boost a bigger block which should hold more transactions and reduce fees. However this has already been attempted by many coins such as litecoin, Dash and Monero all of which have proven a bigger block does not matter and is for sure not the fix.
Also if we look into bitcoin cashes transactions we can see clearly there is no need for the bigger blocks and they provide no benefits via the image below where you can see bitcoin cash does 10% of the transactions per day that bitcoin does!
So bitcoin cashes claim is that we pay to high of fees (which by the way is going to start to really be a big factor come 2020 when bitcoin and bitcoin cash rewards halve for miners. There will be a point where miners only get paid fees!
But last I checked I paid $0.19 To send $20 a very very low fee I consider since if I use a credit card there is a $0.30 fee and about a 1.9%-3.9% fee on top of that. (This is why stores can benefit from accepting crypto currencies.
The only time we saw inflated fees was when the few supporters of bitcoin cash tried to manipulate the transactions on bitcoin by slamming it with a bunch of small transactions to clog up the network. (this was shady tactic one)
They then went to social media and started bashing bitcoin saying bitcoin cash is the future (which was totally objected)
And now today I see this...
The owner Roger Ver of that domain is now posting all over bitcoin.com that bitcoin cash is the future yet again which has a very large majority of the community outraged as they should be. Even threatening to report the domain to the FBI and file a lawsuit against him.
When you add up the numbers and history we can clearly see that support for bitcoin cash is just not there. It is not what people want yet a few such as Roger Ver are continuing trying to push it with their shady tactics.
- Bitcoin cash forked because of the lack of support to change
- Miners decided they did not want to mine this coin 31 Ehash Bitcoin to 4 Ehash For bitcoin cash at the moment of writing this.
- Continued forks for bitcoin cash clearly show it was not the right direction to go otherwise another hard fork would not be required.
This is where you start to realize that the few are trying to tell the many what they should be doing exactly what bitcoin is not for.
What are you opinions on this matter I would love to hear them.
Bitcoin Cash is the Hallucigenia of Crypto, an evolutionary dead end. Big Blocks could never reach Visa levels without centralization, just imagine transmitting terabyte blocks over the internet in less than 10 minutes. regards @bitcoinflood

It seems like the carpet is being pulled from underneath Roger Ver's feet he is starting to sound like an absolute hypocrite...

I have just been interested in this world, I am young, but I think the bitcoin will remain the symbol of this new reality (that of cryptocurrencies) and it will be difficult to try to destroy it, it is the flag of this revolution.
the commissions, as you said you are not so annoying ... we'll see.
but in your opinion how will the business evolve?
Thanks in advance.

Agreed there is far to much money and infrastructure in place that bitcoin holds that it will take much more then a simple hard fork of the coin to replace it.
I do believe business will start accepting cryptocurrency once regulations come into place which seem to be speeding up at the moment for exchanges. It will become more common place and banks will continue to fight back vs it since it will be making their credit cards obsolete.
It will take time but it is happening for sure when you look at how quickly things have been changing since just last year.

I share, i think many people look this world like a game, invest some money it has just the value increases I sell everything.
they are not informed, they do not know the technology in which they have invested, what a goal it has but most of all what is its use in real life!
they see everything as an easy profit. I do not know if I have explained myself, more information is needed for people to avoid these large changes in value from one day to the next.
what do you think about it?

The lawsuit seems kind of desperate, it appears the the Bitcoin Cash devs haven't achieved what they wanted to in the beginning, knocking Bitoin core away from the throne. They can't have much faith i Bitcoin Cash anyway, I mean, they are fighting the oldest crypto, and they just can't seem to beat it. That, to me, shows that their product just isn't good enough!

The lawsuit is vs Roger Ver who has clearly added bitcoin cash all over the bitcoin.com website since he owns it. However this website is heavily visited by new investors and people learning about bitcoin. The lawsuit is for fraud and disinformation. Which I for one agree with, bitcoin cash is bitcoin cash it would not exist without bitcoin and the community and miners have clearly shown they want bitcoin over bitcoin cash. He is trying to force and manipulate adoption of bitcoin cash via shady tactics.

The amount of money Roger Ver is putting in is not funny. When will he run out of money to fund these?

Good post. I'm not a fan of Bitcoin Cash simply because it's so centrilized. I also feel the false marketing towards new investors is a bit shady. That said, each to their own.

Agree with both of those points 100% it is shady and it is false marketing towards investors. I would say too each their own but when over 70% of the community speaks out saying they don't want your crap forked coin you should be man enough to realize you where wrong and stop pushing garbage.

I completely agree. Resteemed your article.
The fact Ver never apologized to the bitcoin core community is pretty shameful. In fact, I wrote an entire article almost 2 months ago on BTC vs BCH. I presented arguments on both sides before coming to a conclusion. Hope you don't mind my sharing it with you. The last thing I want is to be accused of spamming. It's old, so I don't think I can make anything more from it anyway...just thought you'd find it interesting.
