Ethereum and ETC hard forks start on the 18th- Will ETH3 and ETC2 be born? Will Bitcoin learn?

It looks like next week is going to be Ethereum Hard Fork week in crypto-world! We are going to learn a lot. Will Bitcoin learn a lesson and treat this scenario as a testnet of sorts? It is not reassuring that ETH is having its second major hard forking event so soon after its first controversial one. How many Ethereums are going to exist by the end of the year?
