Flyod Mayweather & STOX ICO Conspiracy
Believe it or not but cryptocurrencies are rising currently more than they ever before. Crypto market capitalization is continuing to rise significantly and at the time of writing this, standing strong at $161 Billion, its All Time High. This is not a secret that people are investing heavily in cryptocurrency whether they know about it or not. The central idea is to get rich while moving through crypto flow. Nowadays, launching a cryptocurrency project and raising funds can be done with ease through the help of introducing ICO's.
ICO's means the Initial Coin Offering. Whenever a crypto project gets launched and needed funds for its future growth, they generally announce an ICO to raise respected funds. ICO is a decentralized way of raising funds by receiving already established cryptocurrency like ETH, BTC or LTC for a potential cryptocurrency of a company who conducted the ICO.
ICO's fever has been rising greatly and til this point, a whopping $1 Billion has already been raised through ICO's. Although ICO's got criticized by many renowned people and economy as well by calling it an unnecessary or unfair means of raising capital for something may or may not exist in Future. But still people invest heavily in ICO's with a desire to become a future Millionaire. But when this ICO fever meets with a celebrity, what happens next?
Let's discuss another controversy or should I say a conspiracy which involves a renowned celebrity Mr. Floyd Mayweather and an ICO of STOX, a potential cryptocurrency deals in prediction market.
Floyd Mayweather & STOX ICO Endorsement
Let's talk about Mr. Floyd Mayweather first.
Floyd Mayweather is a renowned American Boxer who has already won 3 Golden Gloves and Olymic Bronze medal before even turning professional in the field of one to one Boxing in 1996. After turning professional he won WBC weight lift title, Super Weight title in 2002 and 2005 respectively and still touching the heights of the success. In short, he is a celebrity and a big one. So, what do he has to do with an ICO. Probably nothing?
But that's not the reality. A few days back, Mr Floyd Mayweather posted a tweet on his tweeter account and uploaded a picture where a bag full of money was laid in front of him and in hashtags he wrote that 'He's going to make a shit load of money with Stox.com.
Now, that is a cause of concern because ICO's were already infamous for many reasons, people were investing their money without even thinking logically in them. And now, after an advertisement by a renowned Celebrity things are gonna go in favor of ICO's. After seeing his tweet, a person who would never invest in ICO' s or cryptocurrency in general, now will definitely give it a thought.
So, what's the reason behind Mayweather's tweet. Has he been given funds by STOX to endorse them?
I am sure, a celebrity and boxer like Mayweather, wouldn't have known much about the cryptocurrency, leaving aside the ICO's. So what's the reason behind his endorsement?
Most of the people think of it as a conspiracy by STOX to get a kick start for their ICO by appointing Mr.Floyd Mayweather secretly for their endorsement because it doesn't make much of a sense that why would a celeb endorse a cryptocurrency project which hasn't come into existence yet.
Let's understand something about the Stox project:
Stox is an Ethereum based platform which will be used for predicting the outcomes related to many fields like Sports, Politics, Social Surveys, Weather, Marriages, or even TV shows outcomes like Game Of Thrones.
Basically, if a person is good at predicting events using his knowledge and researching skills, then he would be benefited greatly using this platform. Prediction market has always been a fascinating thing for many people because it relates directly to betting. In the way, STOX will work. Bets will be placed in accordance with a certain event and whoever's prediction is closer to that event, will earn money in form of STX tokens.
Stox project seeks to raise a minimum capital of $30 Million from it's ICO and that's why may be they took the help of Floyd Mayweather to endorse their ICO. And by the looks of it, it seems pretty successful move.
Although, it has not been officially confirmed whether Floyd was endorsing the STOX's project for real or it was just another conspiracy theory like many other flowing in the current cryptocurrency World. But by the looks, it seems real, Doesn't it?
Let's see what it turns out to be in the near Future.
