Paper Wallets


Es mag etwas absurd klingen, aber einer der sichersten Wege, das digitale Geld Bitcoin zu speichern ist: auf Papier. Dabei druckt man entweder seinen privaten Schlüssel oder einen sogenannten Seed Key, aus dem sich verschiedene private Schlüssel errechnen lassen, mehrfach aus und bewahrt die Ausdrucke an verschiedenen, möglichst sicheren Stellen auf, zum Beispiel in einem Tresor.

Wichtig ist, dass keiner dieser Ausdrucke in die Hände von Kriminellen gerät, denn dann ist das Geld weg. Paper Wallets sind eher dafür da, grössere Summen zu speichern, an die man selten herankommen muss. Wenn man wieder an sein Geld will, liest man die ausgedruckten privaten Schlüssel in eine Wallet Software ein, indem man einen QR Code einscannt oder den Schlüssel manuell eingibt. Dabei muss der gesamte Betrag, der auf dem Papier gespeichert ist, in die Wallet eingelesen werden.

Paper Wallets können ganz einfach bei bitaddress.org erstellt werden.
