Blockchain vs Bitcoin

Hi Steemit,

I'm a first time poster. I was thinking, what can I post here first?

Here's something that I have wanted to spend more time on, but I present to you as a data dump. It's two Google Scholar searches, for Bitcoin and Blockchain.

You can see the research output as two lines on a graph and can click on the points to get into the reference papers.

Go into the Bitcoin line and switch to 2008, and you can see links to PDFs of Satoshi Nakamoto's original work:

Bitcoin (PDF) (S Nakamoto, 2008)
Bitcoin: A peer-to-peer electronic cash system (PDF) (S Nakamoto, 2008)
Re: Bitcoin P2P e-cash paper (PDF) (S Nakamoto, 2008)

There also looks like a clear trend in the research output. With hundreds of publications, the trend shows interest in Bitcoin, which is replaced by interest in Blockchain.

I've wanted to get more into reading the PDFs, and really analysing them for ideas about how to make a positive impact in the world with cryptocurrency. It seems like a big project - I could use some help.

"Crypto's real value"

Anyway, hope something in here is helpful to someone.

Cheers,
Marc (Booker Harmony)

That's a cool first post. Blockchains are getting more visible now, which is good. Before, people only knew about Bitcoin but actually just its name.
