In the new digital age technology has become money and money has become technology, but is this only in the unreal Matrix backed society, where new age technologies replace the old, when paper and metal money are obsolete or are they?.
We have for a long time had money backed by nothing but debt, and paper money being printed constantly, the only thing worth any real money on a $100 bill is the paper its printed on, as the money does not exist it is a promise to pay the bearer on demand. It is not real but governments have given it the legality it does not deserve.

Royal Mint RMG Crypto Currency will be one of the only few crypto currencies back by a physical asset and that is gold, this will be the only form of money backed by something, if you have the RMG Token at any time you can cash it in for Gold, remember I do not but you could take in a £100 bill and exchange it for Gold, that ended long ago.

I think Goldmoney is a great product but I think you have to load your Goldmoney card with some sort of fiat currency before you can spend it on the Goldmoney Visa card.

What other currency can you say I want my gold and they will deliver it? This is as close to getting back on the gold standard and having money backed by gold as you’re going to get.
It has to be better than crypto that’s backed up by nothing, and fiat money that the elite bankers control .

Yeah, there are others who have tried this before but didn't quite take off I don't think.
RM has a millennium long foundation and recognition to launch this from, so it could actually work.
Part of me still thinks it's only milking a fad to repackage their already existing vaulting service, but it could set a very powerful precedent to others to start solidly backed crypto.
I think the key to this being more than a glorified vaulting service with a fad methodology is its application across partners who are willing to accept the transfer of RMG as payment for real world things.
When you Paypal someone, you send them a digital IOU that grants them access to a fraction of the fiat the banks claim they're holding for you. If we can send RMG, we're sending access to a fraction of your gold. So cool.
