How to get bitcoin cash BCH from localbitcoin ?
Bitcoin Have split
now have BTC and BitCoin Cash BCH,
every bitcoin will receive the same amount of BitCoin Cash BCH,
i just know it for now 2017-08-04. Am i too late?
Will LocalBitcoin.com put the bitcoin cash BCH in our account
or we have to do the process ?
How?
Do i have to transfer BTC to a desktop wallet that have private key,
then tansfer back to LocalBitcoin.com ?
please advice ?
i don't know how.

If you left it here, you might not get it. You were support to download it to a wallet you own the private key to. Is what it is.

Long story short …
LBC offer no support for Bitcoin Cash
If you had Bitcoin (BTC) on LBC when the new alt BCC (Bitcoin cash) was created you will not get any BCC
That's it.
BUT
It is not technologically impossible to “extract” (for want of a better word) BCC from the BTC held at the time of the clone coin creation. This however would entail writing the backend and running BCC servers which has proved pretty hard for @Trezor / slush to complete. As with any new coin or bringing any software or hardware into a secure environment it always entails risk … both to the platform AND the hot wallet. So as I have learnt in life … never ever say never. Just expect nothing.
I do not have any knowledge of LBC's backend (double entendre of course intended) it may mean collating thousand of bits of dust and extracting plus consolidation of many many addresses … a hell of a lot of work.

On August 1st a new Cryptocurrency was created called Bitcoin Cash. Anyone who controlled Bitcoin on August 1st at 12:20 PM UTC now also controls a corresponding amount of BCH with the same private key.
LocalBitcoins has always run the Bitcoin core software and this software only supports Bitcoin. As in the previous times when new cryptocurrencies have been launched that have either promised tokens to Bitcoin holders or outright copied the Bitcoin Blockchain (Clams, Lumens), LocalBitcoins has not offered support for the currency or allowed withdrawals of it.
LocalBitcoins main priority is to keep Bitcoins deposited by customers safe. Adding support for new Cryptocurrencies that share private keys with Bitcoin would expose customer funds held by us to great risks, risks that we believe are larger than the benefits these cryptocurrencies provide.
While we are not opposed to adding other cryptocurrencies to our platform, at this point in time we do not have any plans to support any cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.
at Coinbase , both bitcoin and bitcoin cash remain safely stored on Coinbase.
Customers with balances of bitcoin at the time of the fork now have an equal quantity of bitcoin cash stored by Coinbase.
i hope localbitcoin.com will come around do the same way.

If they don't provide a way to let users handle entitled BCH, it may sound like stealing or scam. Users may plan to take law action against the company. The company is physical company registered in EU:
/about
LocalBitcoins Oy Porkkalankatu 20
00180 Helsinki
Finland
VAT id: FI25251957
The court will not allow such policy. You may also utilize change.org or crowdfunding ro taking action.
[LordTricky]
no court on the planet would accept such a case, simple fact of the matter is, you do not control LBC private keys, therefore you are not entitled to anything other than your BTC. What you own when having a balance here is nothing more than a database entry, you only own bitcoin from here after a successful withdrawal ;
[brosejs]
So just to be clear, If I had BTC in a wallet on localbitcoins over the fork, I will never see my Bitcoin Cash?! So where did it go? Who has it? Is there no way of reclaiming it?
[LordTricky]
nope no way to claim it, because you do not own the private key im afraid
[Bitsyoubuy]
this is why you should've transferred your coins to an external wallet, BEFORE the fork occurred if you wanted to claim your BCH
[brosejs]
Ok thx understood. But they must be somewhere. Who has them?
[ssvb]
Most likely LocalBitcoins has them. That is unless LocalBitcoins is doing Fractional-reserve banking and actually had less bitcoins in their possession than the total amount deposited by their users during the time when the fork happened.
[getitquick]
Its a windfall for lbc. They are probably selling the bcc right now and laughing at us
[tjfda]
the thing is that LBC stated before Aug 1st that they will be giving BCH to their users:
/blog/bitcoin-aug1-hf/
“July 19th, 2017
We are closely monitoring the current situation regarding the risk of a Bitcoin hard fork occurring on August 1st. Today, July 18th, it looks possible that the hard fork will be avoided as BIP 91 can activate before then.
Our current plan in case BIP91 does not activate before August 1st, and the risk of a hard fork becomes real, is to stop all Bitcoin transactions for a period of time in order to protect the Bitcoin you have in your LocalBitcoins wallet. Once the danger period has passed LocalBitcoins will allow withdrawals of Bitcoins on both the majority and minority chain for as long as it is feasible and possible to support both chains.
In case BIP 91 fails to activate and the risk of a hard fork becomes real we will share more information via our blog, twitter and email.”
read again:
“Once the danger period has passed LocalBitcoins WILL ALLOW WITHDRAWALS of Bitcoins ON BOTH the majority and MINORITY CHAIN f or as long as it is feasible and possible to support both chains.”
So LBC was lying to their users in order to steal thei BCH??
[brosejs]
Exactly, when I read that I understood that my BTC would be fine on lbc. I hope they come to their senses and distribute the BCH like most other exchanges have, otherwise they will have lost all trust.
[scottemick]
well you could sue them for breach of contract…I suppose.

I lost a good bit because of coin in escrow. Guarantee is was 10x more than all these people bitching…

Hi!
LocalBitcoins does not intend to support or interact with the new blockchain in any way. If this were to change, LBC would make those coins available for customers to withdraw, not keep them.
Currently we do not run any software that makes it possible for you or for us to access it.
Thank you!
Best regards,
LocalBitcoins
