I just saw this in the news today and it made me extremely angry.
This type of thing happens over and over again and apparently people just don't learn. It is incredibly frustrating. Banks have been around for hundred of years and have gained so much blind public trust. Yet again and again, banks need the STATE to pull them out of a financial hole they somehow dug theirselves into. This was really apparent during the financial crisis of 2008 when several banks had to be saved by the state. And where does the state take the money from to save the banks ? Taxpayers of course. Where else would they get it ?
So let me get this straight and I hope im not missing something really fundamental here:
-We keep our money in the bank.
-Even though they are supposed to "work" with the money, interest rates are at a low at the moment.
-They also get payed (or take-however you want to see it) money from anyone wanting to have an account.
-They also take money from anyone transferring money from A to B.
-High executive Bank employees get payed millions of dollars per year for managing various aspects of our money.
-Yet this always seems to happen sooner or later: Banks need more money, because they lost too much money speculating.
-So essentially they take even more of our money, and the STATE support all of this ???
-Is this democracy ? Don't we as the tax payers want our taxes to be used for things we can benefit from like infrastructure or education ? Yet in this entire process, the tax payers opinion isn't valued at all ?
I'm not an anarchist or anything, but ever since I started getting into cryptocurrencies I've be questioning the so-called "system" more and more, especially the way banks and governments work together. The information I gather and read, the more convinced I am that this system is incredibly fraudulent, benefitting only a few.
I really hope people begin to realise and stop following the leader like blind sheep.
We have to make this society WAKE THE **** UP!!!
I would appreciate a Resteem just incase anybody on Steemit hasn't caught on, but I don't think our community is smarter than that :) Go Crypto!
I fully agree with you man! Its awe-full to see this happen over and over. But the good thing is that the crypto and blockchain movement will hopefully make banks a thing of the past. The state and banks have an interdependent relationship. A symbiosis. Once the paradigm shifts, atrocities like this will be a think of a laughable past.
Thanks for the critical thinking. You are right to be as upset about this. We all are. We need to fight the good fight. Things are changing.
