Right now Bitcoin is on a major bull run, and if it manages to break the resistance at $2800, could be set to go way over $3000. This is probably mainly because a consensus has been reached in terms of how the miners will go forward with scaling.

Segwit activation is near, and this has restored confidence in Bitcoin once more!
