There are multiple headlines coming out of Miami on the ruling of a local judge:
ArsTechnica : Bitcoins aren’t currency, so state money laws don’t apply
Forbes: Miami Judge Rules That Bitcoin Is Not Money
SunSentinel : Bitcoin not the same as money in criminal case
So for all Bitcoin enthusiasts and traders, what will this mean in the future, will this ruling become a trend on cases involving Bitcoins, how far is the law on electronic currencies understanding when it comes to ruling in favor or against anyone involved on these cases ?
I read that this ruling will not be binding, will not have a bearing on future cases.
