Hey JessICO's
If you hang around these parts long enough you'll soon realise that cryptocurrency has really not done much of late, it goes up, it goes down, bag holders make money, noobs get rekt and that's the name of the game. As for groundbreaking disruptive real-world application apart from easy remittance it's not really doing all that well, most projects are like STEEM basically just playing around in creepy corners of the internet where most of the world dare not venture.
I for one like to spend time in these circles and try out anything that I think could earn me a few extra Sats.
Sats your ass down
Like many of you, I missed the bus and got in late on BTC in 2016, had it been 4 years earlier I'd be sitting prettier and had a few fewer fucks to give but sadly that's not the case. Some people feel they've missed out on the BTC train but I'm not one of them, there's a certain train you can still get on and that's the Satoshi train.
While most noobs look at the Dollar value as their gauge of increased value, I look at the Satoshi and anything I do in crypto has that goal in mind, to earn more Satoshis than I did yesterday. I do this consistently with my trades and its all about increasing my stake in BTC until I can own a full one and beyond.
Most people will ignore the Satoshi, just like most people ignored BTC when it was a 10th of a penny. I won't make that same mistake twice and I keep tracking up Satoshis each day. My frame of mind is who knows what a Satoshi will be worth in 10 years from now.
Earning passive income
One of my strategies for earning additional satoshis each day is by using this dodgy gambling faucet site called freebitcoin. I don't really use the gambling service nor do I use the facet much, well I'll claim if I'm there to check on my investment otherwise, not.
The site currently offers a user 4.08% annual interest that is paid out daily for keeping a balance of BTC with them
If you keep an account balance of 0.09146271 BTC you will receive a daily compound interest payment of 0.00001002 BTC, which is what I am earning at the moment.
At current value its a little over a $1 a day and may not seem like much but like I said before I'm not too concerned with the dollar value, I just want more Satoshis.
The risk of this investment
Since this website doesn't provide you with any keys this is really not a safe investment. You have safely sent your BTC to an internet stranger and they're using it to create their reward pool and in return gives you a few Satoshis to say thank you.
I invested in this deal ages ago and got that 0.09 BTC for a steal so it didn't really phase me much to place it into the system and let it run, if I lose it oh well if it keeps bringing me 1000 sats a day I'm pretty happy.
Perhaps one day I'll cash out, should they don't up and disappear or exit scam first.
Have you tried any passive earning through cryptocurrency yet? How has it worked out for you? If there's anything good let me know, a brother needs to work on his early retirement here.
Have your say

Hi @chekohler
I've been using freebitcoin since it launched a long long time ago. I've always been paid and the 4% interests are quite interesting I believe. So far I've earned more than 15'000 satoshis in interests. I don't have more because when I reach 0.01 capital I withdraw it to another wallet. I've made a video how you can learn how to increase your income with the faucet quite drastically:

Best regards,
Achim

I checked out your video now, very cool but you are the faucet expert so I trust your opinion. I'm just going to keep that BTC there and see how far it can take me. I think 1000 Sats is a pretty decent return and its only going to keep growing well as long as the site says around

I was gonna say I’m in! But that sketches me out quite a bit lol no keys, just supposed interest. I would take all your holdings out now that you’ve earned so you still walk away with something if they do edit scam you. Are you earning sat anywhere else that’s not a smoke filled room with a gun pointed at your balls? Lol

LOL dude its sketchy AF I wouldn't recommend it, anyone, really. I just happened to get that BTC at an absolute steal and thought I'd mess around with it. The rest of my holdings are key'd holdings and I'm still looking around for more passive earning options. The only other one is my soft staking of Kucoin shares (also not your keys).
I honestly can't understand why this cannot be done with a key'd holding in a Smart contract and using a pegged asset in their system. But hey let me not tell people how to set up their projects

Do you know that you can get between 6% and 8% with the Crypto.com app, which seems to be a lot more credible than that website?
You need to deposit a minimum of 0.05 BTC or 1 ETH, though and keep it locked for 1 or 3 months.

No I did not know that, will download the app now and check it out. How has it worked out for you thus far?

So far, so good. They are paying the interest weekly. For me, it's a nice bonus since I was already using the app anyway.

Thats awesome, thanks for the tip. I downloaded the app now and verified my account, (I hate KYC) anyway I'm verified but the cards aren't yet avialable in South Africa. I'm going to try staking 50 MCO and a little bit of Bitcoin and see how far it takes me!

Cool! I've been waiting for the card in Europe for a long time... 😛
It seems like it's closer than ever, now.
By the way, I have 50 MCO locked to get the better rate but I got them around 2€, so I'm not too worried.

Nice that’s a pretty good pick up, MCO is already almost 6 bucks so your investment is already paying off!

Ya I was going to look at it and risk an ETH since they aren’t as valuable as .05 bitcoin is. We’ll see!
Do you have a referral code for me to use for you? I’ll hook you up with that bonus. I’ll wait to sign up for you to give it to me, I’ll harass you later if I don’t see it.

Yes, there's always that risk. Not only that, they will trade with our deposits, just like traditional banks do.

Satoshi Labs is a faucet site that lets you reinvest your earnings to upgrade your "lab", and you get a certain amount per hour based on your "production". I haven't taken anything out yet, but rather just keep purchasing the "security" upgrade (part of the virtual game) to get more production. There's no way to put money into the site, but rather you just invest what you earn there. That's limiting, but it's also zero risk.
Since it's a positive feedback loop between "production" and earnings (more of one leads to more of the other, etc.), I figure that over time (a year or more) there could be enough to start making withdrawals. As with many faucet sites, there is, of course, the chance that they won't be around long enough, but at zero risk it's worth playing the little game. At least this is the best I've found since the end of the Mining Game on Cointiply.
I have a related post on my blog about faucets, etc. with my experiences and some tips.

Those are very cool gamification options for earning small hits of crypto I think that something like this could work well on steem!
Should really look into a way to build some cool Steem faucets or gaming mechanisms like these!
I really think that earning crypto stake should be a combination of buy, trade and work for! Giving you more ways to earn will give you more ways to spend too
