I had just dropped out of college after studying economics for a year and a half, I really hated being there and I knew the opportunity cost I was paying was not worth the intrinsic value I was receiving from the university. I continued to study on my own and decided to become an investor.

At first I had a job that paid $9/hr but allowed me to work as much as I wanted.. I worked 70 hours a week for 6 months until I had enough to buy a stock with reasonable fees (my first broker was Edward Jones). I bought my first stock when I turned 20 for $3,300 after that I finally moved up at my work and had a much better job, now with less need to work all the hours I invested more time into learning, I was watching a philosophy show that talked about Bitcoin and that is when I got interested in the new technology. I indulged in learning about it and bought my first 5 bitcoin @ $415, I had just turned 21. My interest continued to build and I bought more and more eventually selling all of my stocks I had accumulated to buy crypto-currencies.

Now I am a little over the age of 22 and I have gone down to just one day a week at my well paying serving job! I am looking to contribute more to the community and develop my programming skills, all of this was made possible because of the awesome people who built these technologies as well as the community infrastructure that supports it.
