As a monthly routine (April update) to keep our users updated on the progress we have made on our infrastructure, here is our monthly update!
Bitcoin Support
We’re proud to announce our support for Bitcoin (BTC) to the masses. On top of that, all Bitcoin wallets on Counter Network will be based on the bech32format specified by BIP 0173. You can read more about bech32 here. (In fact, we are the first peer-to-peer exchange to base bitcoin addresses off bech32!)To know more about whether if your existing hardware wallet/provider is capable of sending bitcoin to your Counter Network bitcoin wallet, check out the bitcoin wiki page here.
TetherUSD Support
In-lieu of our goal to support as many stablecoins as possible, we’re proud to announce our support for TetherUSD (USDT) as well. TetherUSD is the stablecoin currently with the largest market capitalisation.
Online/Offline functionality
Trade Process Optimisation
Previously from the April Update:
We have also removed the “I’m making the payment” step in order to reduce some overheads in the trading process.
This update has been reverted following the feedbacks received from users. We feel that re-introducing the “Payment in process” step would be beneficial to users more as it provides the seller extra space to work with should the trade go sideway.
What’s coming?
Increased Price Competitiveness
We are currently working with a few Stablecoins that will help to introduce stablecoins to Counter Network with a much better rate compared to the market average.
Video Verification
After gaining feedback from our users, we are working on a live video verification feature for the trade process. This would help traders with avoiding trades that relate to scams. This feature is roughly 50% complete.
Message Notifications via Email
You will soon be able to receive message notifications through your email.
Zilliqa Mainnet Support
Counter Network is proud to announce support for Zilliqa’s Mainnet. We will post an update later in June to fully confirm that all functionality to its mainnet is complete.
Unbound50
Counter Network is fortunate to be selected as one of the 50 companies to exhibit at Innovfest Unbound this year. Do check us out if you are there!
