Pattern for Bitcoin Futures and Bitcoin Prices. Are they related?

As of 10:30 am today Feb 12, the last price was 8590.00 with the high of 8870.00 and the low of 8010.00 on the CBOE for the Wednesday Feb14 closing. How does the closing low and high of the Futures Contracts relate to the price?

I don't know. I will be tracking and tracing the results though.
The January Expiration saw Bitcoin crashing right up to the time the Contracts expired. Kinda made me wonder.
