Alt coins on the Internet: Part III: Online Betting

in bitcoin •  7 years ago

Hello, welcome in the third part of the miniseries about "Alt coins on the Internet". In the first part called "Alt coins on the Internet: Part I: Faucets" we introduced faucets and in last post "Alt coins on the Internet: Part II: PTC sites" we described PTC sites.

Another approach how you might get some coins is gambling. I do not have any experiences with online casinos, I just tried some games and one betting service. I do not want to propagate gambling here, but obviously it is one of many way how to get or loose your coins. I tried that with very low amount, because I was suspicious and still I am. But with sites I will mention here I had not problem so far, but I guess Mt. Gox users were saying the same, not too long time ago. So, here is it

A) One Hash
Bitcoin betting site now provides services for Ethereum and Litecoin, too. It is very similar to bwin.com but rates are not made by bookmakers, but by people, which means if you will bet 1 BTC on win of the team A against team B and if someone else will bet 2 BTCs on team B, and you will win, you will get what was against you. Of course it will be divided between people who bet the same as you did with respecting the weight of your bet.

What is the main different against ordinary betting services is the privacy. You do not need to upload your ID card or bank account statement to prove yourself like you would have to with fiat currency, especially in EU, where you need to provide a lot of personal data to that services since the start of 2017.

B) Freebit.co.in
I mentioned Freebitcoin in "Alt coins on the Internet: Part I: Faucets". But as I mentioned before it provides a lot of other options. One of them is lottery. Lottery is drawn every week and every week there are 10 winners where there are 10 position, first will get the biggest amount and tenth will get the lowest which illustrate the picture. It is more like tombola, then lottery we know from TV. Price of one ticket is 2 Satoshi (0.00000002 BTC).

Another game is the Hi-Lo game, where you can try to guess if the next drawn number will be higher or lower than some threshold. You can find some strategies and Javascript scripts on the internet, which should ensure you that you will earn millions. Again, if it will be truth, the site would not exists anymore and we would be all millionaires. However, you can try if are good luck person.

C) 1Bit Profit
Last game I would mention is 1bitprofit.com. It is Russian website, where you can bet on how much the curve will rise, which also determines how many times it will multiply your bet. There is even a faucet to obtain low amount for start, it should be around 2 bits which is 200 Satoshi, so you do not need to deposit any coins there to try that. I have to admit that I used it just for fun and lost at least 4 login credentials there :D But it is on for a longer time, so, it might be trustful.

Unfortunately I was not brave enough to try any online Bitcoin casino, because what I saw, it did not look much trustful for me. Do you have any experiences with that? Let me know in comments. Thanks for reading an I hope you will join me in next post "Alt coins on the Internet: Part IV: Freebit.co.in".
