I have developed a sort of routine each day. I get up, wash up, eat, say good morning to my beautiful children, I give my wife some love as well and then.........My cryptocurrency faucet addiction takes hold!
Both my laptop and smart phone are like guns in a holster at my hip. I whip em' out (get your minds outta the gutter), and make sure I hit every single solitary faucet I can handle all while stuffing Eggo Waffles into my face!.
I get my personal fix from the "Moon" Faucets that are associated with the Microwallet known as "CoinPot" as well as 2 other BTC Faucets that coincide with CoinPot, "Bonusbitcoin" & "Bitfun".
I see the faucets as a way for little fish like myself, to slowly but surely create some sort of baseline for a crypto portfolio which in an ideal world, should in some way lay a bit of a foundation down for wanting to get even more engaged within the world we've all come to know and appreciate.
The simplicity behind the workings of all these faucets is something to be admired but many people either question their legitimacy or wonder just how giving away certain types of cryptocurrency is even sustainable for the people who own them. Well In steps the wonderful world of Advertising!!
Its blatantly obvious that through advertising & marketing campaigns , these faucet sites are able to maintain their livelihood which also allows them to fork out very small amounts of BTC and/or any other respective currency.
Now earlier I mentioned something like "creating a baseline for a crypto portfolio".....Im not nuts, I swear!! What I meant by that sentence was these faucets allow us to get our feet a little bit wet in understanding a few things about cryptocurrency better. Such as wallet transactions, what smaller denominations of some coins are called, for example here is a little chart I stumbled across which breaks down BitCoin denominations in a pretty cool way:
Now keeping this chart in mind, I can honestly tell you that before heading for the faucets, I had never heard of or seen what mBTC is or was nor did I know very much about what a "Satoshi" happened to be. In a way the faucets help educate me slightly & show me some of the ropes regarding BitCoin and other currencies.
Now my choice for faucets may not be another individuals cup of tea. But thats perfectly fine because there are literally 5 billion faucets to choose from....ok not 5 billion but theres lots of em ok!?!
Probably one of the most popular if not the most popular is "Faucethub" which like "CoinPot", doubles as a microwallet to store all of your hard earned faucet claims. This site is unique as it actually lists many of the faucets out there for all the major types of crypto plus some. The site also boasts another side to it for faucet owners but I think one of the coolest features is the in house anonymous currency exchange, where you can buy altcoins directly from other users using BTC and sell your altcoins to other users in exchange for BTC. There's also a multi-coin lottery and a couple games you can play. There live chat system is also quite interesting and helpful & the reason i used the word "interesting" was because it allows you to "Tip" other people using the chat in a sense that if you like what someone had to say or youve developed some sort of virtual crush on a chatter, then you can send them a bunch of crypto. For those "Ballers" out there, in the chat there is an option to "Make it rain" and set a denomination for more than one person to share with. The stats say that almost 7.5BTC has been paid out in the last 2 weeks from FaucetHub! Thats pretty good.
My personal choice, for the time being at least, will be the simplicity of CoinPot. I have 7 go to faucets that dont change at all and are consistant. I have the option to convert one currency to another and have never ever had a problem sending or receiving and of the crypto ive collected.
I think faucets are a cool way to introduce someone to Cryptocurrency or BitCoin for that matter. Their a pretty cool entity to help familiarize ones self with some of the basics attached to what so many people want to get involved in.
Ill do a followup piece on a couple of the more popular self sustaining faucets that take care of themselves without a microwallet extension & are fun to take part in with very minimal risk involved!
Hope you enjoyed reading me ramble on and on and on and on.....well you get the picture!
Stay Blessed people!
