Bitcoin Mining Giant Bitmain Sets Up Secret US Subsidiary

Cryptocurrency mining giant, Bitmain may be quietly building new facilities in the Pacific Northwest of America according to documents. While, there is nothing which has been affirmed publicly by the firm, the producer of bitcoin mining hardware seems linked to the new company, Ant Creek, LLC that according to reports, is working on building mining center in Washington State.

Jihan Wu, Bitmain's co-founder is the sole governing individual behind Ant Creek according to the business data website, companies-number.com. Ant Creek was established on June 28, 2017, and is currently registered as a profit-making entity in the state.

While the firm doesn’t have a listed address, Port of Walla Walla, which is a city in Washington is taking into consideration an agreement in land use with Ant Creek according to the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin reports. Ant Creek may lease the land from the starting of 2019, with an alternative to buy up to 40 acres.

If endorsed, the Union-Bulletin reports show that the land would be used to build and run a cryptocurrency mining facility. The progress is noticeably provided the general lack of this move’s communication since no public documents are associating Bitmain with Ant Creek.

However, reports show that the new mining center is already past the preliminary phases of development, indicating that Ant Creek would bring $7-$10 million and 15-20 jobs in private investments into the City. Furthermore, another local official said that he has been operating with the firm for nearly six months.

That is merely the final expansion attempt by the China-based ASIC chip producer, which over the last few months launched expansion programs in Switzerland and Canada as reported by CoinDesk. However, it is not clear the amount of progress that has been achieved on the Canadian facility, although Bitmain has already launched Bitmain Switzerland, a Swiss subsidiary.
