THETA Token is a video streaming cryptocurrency project where users will be able to rent their extra-bandwidth for THETA Tokens.
Let's break it through: Imagine you are watching a movie on NetFlix and fall asleep, right?
The movie is still buffering and using your connexion to download the movie that is still playing in the background while you are sleeping.
What if you could use that momentum to automatically get paid cryptocurrency for letting it run in the background?
Awesome, right? Well, that's what THETA is trying to come up with and I think it is an amazing project.

THETA was an ICO that had a fundraising goal of 20,000,000 $USD and sold 12,800,000 $USD worth of THETA Tokens in a few hours on pre-sale before cancelling the rest of the crowdfunding because of the supply, a huge demand and not enough tokens. The price of 1 TETHA was 0.12 $USD and users from China and USA were not able to participate.

On the speculative side, THETA was listed on one of its first exchanges, gate.io 2 days ago and it has been following an uptrend with couple disturbations due to Bitcoin instability these last days. The price started at 0.16 USDT, dipped to 0.15 USDT and followed an uptrend to 0.19 USDT at the time of writing. It has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 coins and it still did not get to the bigger exchanges (UpBit, BINANCE, Bittrex, Bithumb) where the multi-billion dollars volume trades.

Because of the hype this coin had and the momentum in the crypto space, I would not be surprised if it gets listed on one of the superstar exchanges and gets bought heavily.
