BTC Opened down -10.87% following headlines that the US government has reached a deal to end the government shut down (note that last Friday BTC rallied 10.5% from ~11,800 to ~13,000 immediately following the shut down news).

Commodity trading company Louis Dreyfus trials a blockchain based system for soybean trade, including the sales contract and letter of credit for a shipment from the US to China.

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is testing the publishing of government contracts on the Ethereum blockchain in an intiative to increase transparency.

South Korea has announced that it will be collecting tax from cryptocurrency exchanges at a rate of 22% corporate tax and 2.2% local income tax, in line with the countries tax code for corporations earning over 20bn won/year. This follows the recent conclusion of an anti-money laundering probe into the 6 major South Korean banks and the announcement that the banks will be ready to provide cryptocurrency exchange services this month.
