US Treasury Security Steven Mnuchin wants cryptocurrency regulation to be a topic at the G20 summit.

Rumours emerge that Circle may acquire cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex. Users might remember that in late 2016 Circle pulled the plug on its exchange service and sent its users to competitor Coinbase. Poloniex is currently the 13th largest overall exchange by trade volume. They currently don't accept USD deposits and only allow trading of cryptocurrency, however they have recently tightened their KYC policy which would suggest this is a future possibility. The timing of the move to USD deposits could also coincide with the general industry move away from USD tether.
