December 14th 2017, the MAPS nonprofit fund recieve 59.89 BTC ($1 million) from an anonymous philanthropic donor associated with the Pinapple Fund ( www.pineapplefund.org ). This was part of around $86 million they planed to donate to a number of different charities. This will serve as funding for MAPS phase 3 clinical trials for MDMA psychotherapy for PTSD.
"MAPS estimates that Phase 3 clinical trials will cost $26 million. With $17.3 million already raised or pledged, MAPS still needs $8.7 million to make MDMA-assisted psychotherapy legally available to millions of people suffering with PTSD."
Others in the cryptocurrency market have donated to the sum of $120,000 in BTC, ETH, and LTC (Of which MAPS accepts all three openly)

Current topics of MAPS include MDMA for PTSD (as above), Ibogaine for hard drug addiction treatment, Magic Mushrooms for Cluster Headaches and a variety of other psychedelics for use in relief of anxiety, depression and to come to terms with tramatic life experiences.

yes! what wonderful news. I had a chance to intern with MAPS when I was attending UCSC. I had another internship but I wish I would have chosen MAPS. It is such an important organization. Thank you for sharing this.
