Bitcoin is still seen by some as a very risky and volatile investment even though bitcoin continues to hold its own and prove many critics wrong.
In this post I compare historical price data of bitcoin to historical stock prices of the top 6 stocks by market Capitalization.These are stocks that are generally regarded as solid investments. See analysis below:
Data Date :29th April 2013 to 21st July 2017
Data Source: Coinmarketcap and Google Finance
As you can see bitcoin ROI totally outweighs ROI of all top 6 stocks
Let me break it down a little more with the table below that shows the percentage return on investments
Eager to see what the price of bitcoin will be in the next 4 years as bitcoin becomes more popular.

The business world hasn't really seen growth like this before. The closest thing we have is the dotcom boom of the early 2000's but even that played out over a much smaller time period. Bitcoin is a completely different animal and could reach astronomical figures in the next 5-10 years.

Love the disclaimer!! But yea, if you look at numbers that way it is immediate to see the difference. On one side you have to think that BTC is not regulated while others are, on the the other side BTC is really just at the beginning of its life while the others are well established. We will see how it goes but 2000% is so sweet.

Yes lack of regulation is probably the main reason why corporate investors are a bit hesitant to invest, I do not think much will change because one of the main value propositions of bitcoin is decentralization, hard to regulate that. We will see how it goes. Thanks for the upvote
