My best friend seems to think that bitcoin will never stop gaining and maybe even reach unthinkable highs and says it's never going to be a bad time to invest in bitcoin so he says the sooner the better. Would you agree? And do you think that the world currency could possibly be just bitcoin and these types of crypto currencies alone one day??

There's alot of hype at the moment with price predictions of $100k or $1M in 10 years or less for 1 bitcoin.. Reality is no one knows, and the price of Bitcoin will fluctuate wildly till (if!) then..
On balance, buy and hold long term is most likely a winning strategy :)
