As you can see the total Market Cap has surpassed the $600 billion mark and is going towards $1 trillion. According to coinmarketcap the current Market Cap is around $608 billion.
As you can see on this picture Bitcoin is still dominant to other cryptocurrencies according to coinmarketcap. In the summer 2017 there was situation where Ethereum and Bitcoin were nearly together but than the hype in Bitcoin grew.
