BITCOIN - Still the King of Coins?

Hi, is the "fork" over or should we still hold our hearts in our mouths?

Why the hullabaloo, if it was this easy to fork Bitcoin? I actually thought it was going to be the end of the world with crazy volatile spikes on our trading charts. The numerous FUD projecting articles on Bitcoin getting forked and how "My Bitcoin" da "King of Coins" will lose its supremacy, become valueless and worth next to "nothing-coin" in my wallet didn't help matter.

I know a lot of people panicked. Some converted to fiat, and or exchange some portion, if not all of their Bitcoin to other Alt-coins but... It was just FUD, the use of disinformation all the while.

According to Wikipedia and I quote...

Fear, uncertainty and doubt (often shortened to FUD) is a disinformation strategy used in sales, marketing, public relations, talk radio, politics, religious organizations, and propaganda. FUD is generally a strategy to influence perception by disseminating negative and dubious or false information and a manifestation of the appeal to fear.

Who do we hold responsible for creating FUD and feeding a few or the whales? Bitcoin cash, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin Core or all the numerous news channel and social media, from coindesk, reddit to twitter... used for creating and spreading unnecessary panic.

Is the fork finally over and was it successful? Has anyone been able to access their new coin or is it going to be dead on arrival?

So many questions to be answered in the next few days as things unfold but one great thing learnt in all this, is to be calm.

Good luck.
