Bitcoin (BTC) - The moment of truth #1

in bitcoin •  7 years ago

Hi guys, another quick update for bitcoin, I just took a screen shot of the current chart for the BTC vs USDT one hour candles from Bittrex.

I see Bitcoin is going to try and fight this blue trend line & I can see that if it's not able to hold it it will go down heavily. This is what always happens when trend lines can't hold the price on bear markets. If it doesn't hold and it indeed goes down, then the final moment of truth will be the red trending line below. If that one doesn't hold either then we can expect a nice long correction.

However if any of the two lines hold that would indicate nice strength for Bitcoin. At this moment I am stil 50-50 for that $4800 level to be the top.

Happy trading xx

I feel the bulls for bitcoin is still strong moving forward. Hodl is the way to go.

Good analysis. Though everyone has a different opinion. A Legendary Bitcoin Trader named MasterLuc predicts bitcoin to reach around $15,000 this year. He also stated that it may reach somewhere between $40,000 - $110,000 by 2019.
Also Charlie Lee stated the following;

Let's see what's in the future. But if you just HODL, returns would be surely humongous. Invest wisely...

I love the philosophy behind LTC but it is just not true it grew 10x, look at the charts, not even half of that...
LTC has a history of down trending. In every bubble it made lower lows and lower highs...

What do you mean? A year ago the price was around $ 4, now it is $ 44
EDIT: maybe you mean in btc?

That's true. I think LTC will end up somewhere between 25 to 35 LTC per BTC. Let's see...

just bought 1 btc due to price and volume increase, seems like up trend is confirmed or am I wrong?

I personally think as of now the FOMO has kicked in. Though don't worry at all, in worst case if the price falls do not sell your BTC. If you are looking for profits, it is certain after x amount of time which is unknown.
Tip: always buy against the media news ;)
Though do extensive research first. Good luck to you my friend. Cheers!!!

already sold with 20$ profit.. puh :) Thanks for the comment.

Another Fork is coming my friend, you will just lose some extra coins. May be you could have made more than 20$ with the new forked coin. Do your research always. Good luck though. Invest wisely. Cheers!!!

Should see differently if you use btc pair with ltc

Hi, I was referring LTC vs BTC not USD. If you trade against USD but it goes down vs BTC you are still missing profits. I explained that in one of my previous posts. I came across a video yesterday where the guy explains this better than I can. I will be sharing this in my next post here on steemit today.

Sure. Please do. I read a news today, a private swiss bank is going to sell Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash soon.
I don't know why BCH, may be Roger and the other big folks are behind this. But one good thing is, ETH and LTC are in the plan too.

It did 10x within a very short period of time. I agree on some part of your comment. Yes, LTC was stagnant because of no new development. It was just sitting ideal because it was almost similar to Bitcoin with minor changes to the core blockchain code. But as Charlie Lee was active again onto it with real good initiative it rose within no time.
That is what he is comparing. Yes, it is a kind of speculation but based on a real case study which happened with LTC since it activated Segwit. I have started liking LTC as well due to its recent initiatives. It's because of LTC's success, BTC went for SEGWIT.
If interested in knowing the reasons, you can check my blog on Litecoin: https://steemit.com/litecoin/@themystic/litecoin-is-due-looks-strong-update-03-08-2017

Following you now. Thanks n Cheers!!!

Great post

Thanks dobe. Great post once again. Think bitcoin will hold the support line and will either go steadily upwards or sideways for a little while. You got any suggestions of other interesting coins to have a look at?

Hi dobe4ever, approx at what price when it touches the blue line? tqvm

Oh I didn't realised I'm not showing the prices in this chart. please go here to see the actual chart: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/gZUDlRzP/

Hi Dobe.

Could you give us your opinion on OmiseGo?

I can't really decide.
The 4 hour chart looks bullish, but I'm thinking that this is just because we've just had some news about Vitalik being in a meeting with the Central Bank of Thailand, plus, at least on Bittrex, there are more sellers than buyers (300k difference) and I see no real volume coming in. So I'm thinking that we will se a bit more of a pullback.
On the other hand the price just broke the downward trend line and we have 20 day MA and 15 day EMA acting as support, plus the MACD shows good strength.
What is your take on all of this?

Thanks for all your posts!

I bought a ton of it at around $7 last night, simply on the basis of this chart:
https://cryptowat.ch/bitfinex/omgusd
Which pointed to me that there was a very high (almost certain even haha) chance of it going up.

Edit: I'm refering to the EMA lines, so you need to enable this on that chart to see what I mean

What will it do next? I don't know! But I think there's room for it to go to $10.... 😀

On the fundamentals: here's a post I saw on Reddit which I happened to see today:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/6tupyx/omise_go_vitalik_meet_with_the_central_bank_of/
Could be bullish ;)
I haven't even read the article, I just need see headlines with the words
'Vitalik'
and
'Bank'
in order to get the impression it could be good ;)
Disclaimer:
I don't even know what OMG is about LOL
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'd been focusing on the 61% line and the moving average at that point, then I learn more from you all over again. I really appreciate the way you think and the fact that you so willingly share your wisdom

good info sir

Nice job there, very nice of you to make quite fast update

I am seeing headlines "get out of cash" and other articles saying "Bitcoin to drop sharply". So, I have 2 questions. Since the USD has been falling and could crash, how can the Bitcoin technical analysis take this into account?

And, for my second question, if both fiat and Bitcoin (and the altcoins) are all falling, what are we supposed to exit TO, precious metals?

Hi thanks for the comment. I'm not the type of person who believes in conspiracy theories, at least not in most of them. I don't like governments nor the current financial system, but reality is, FIAT is not losing as much value as people make it look like. FIAT looses a 3% per year average. To me, it is better to hold FIAT losing 3% a year, than holding crypto or metals through a bear market which can potentially lose +80%...

what do you think of the last rise ????

Hi Dobe,

Thanks for the videos. Could you please have a look at this video

. I am a bit confused because this guy is saying we are doing the TA with Fibonacci wrong. Please have a look and give us your opinion / explanation. Appreciate your effort. Thanks.

Dobe, could you please take a look at above video and give us your opinion. Apparently we are doing it wrong :)

Thanks.
