A 5 star hotel from Switzerland, The Dolder Grand, announced it will start accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment, starting May 1st, according to a news story published on Inacta AG website [German content], the partner who is going to actually implement this.
This is part of a pilot project between the hotel and Inacta AG, and it will allow customers to pay not only for accommodation, but also for refreshments and other services. Crypto will be converted to fiat and moved into the hotel accounts, which means the Dolder Grand will not hold any crypto, all transfer being managed by the partner.
This is not a singular event. For instance, in Spain, the Valencia-based Casual Hoteles, announced a month and a half ago[Spanish content] that it will also allow its customers to pay for accommodation with Bitcoin for one of their hotels, Casual Malaga del Mar. This effort seems to be based on some internal project, called Casual Blockchain, which uses Bitpay.
All in all, the probability to find a hotel honoring crypto payments is bigger and bigger these days.

Keep on evangelising, till the whole world knows bitcoin and cryptocurrency is here to stay once and for all. My full time job is crypto for now and my earnings comes from it. The earlier the better this organization comes to term with crypto.

I think it was the guy who filmed the super size me documentary, but he tried to live on bitcoin like 4 or 5 years ago in I want to say New York city to see how easy or hard it was to pay everything using only bitcoin.
It would be interesting to see an updated documentary to see if it has gotten any harder or easier where they originally filmed it. My guess would be it's still about the same (at least here in the US).
