Wayback Machine Now Accepts Donations In Bitcoin Cash And ZCash

I'm a huge, huge fan of Wayback Machine. If you don't know what Wayback Machine is, well, it's a service currently hosting more than 300 billions (yes, billions) of website snapshots, since the beginning of the Internet (well, almost). The non for profit foundation is operated now by Archive.org. It's some sort of an universal Internet log. If you had a website at some point, chances that you will find a snapshot of that website crawled by Waybcak Machine are close to 100%.

In a blog post published today the foundation announced they will start accepting donations in 2 more crypto currencies: Bitcoin Cash and ZCash. They were already accepting donations in Bitcoin since 2012.

To be honest, although I'm not betting a lot on BCH, I'm glad to see it gets this type of coverage and I hope people will start using it not only in speculative ways, but also as a mean to support foundations like Archive.org.

Oh, and by they way, here's how my first website was looking in 2000 (it even has that "graphics by Gimp" sticker and all):
