Recently I discovered DADI (Decentralized Architecture for a Dedicated Internet). DADI can be compared to the likes of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud where it enables cloud services using the blockchain.
Disclaimer: i'm not a financial advisor and you have to define your own opinion whether or not to invest.
DADI, as far as I can see, looks very promising and has already got a lot of things going for them such as their website already running on their own architecture and a solid set of documentation.
DADI is (currently) build on the Ethereum blockchain and they are looking to uphold the initial idea of the internet by keeping it decentralized and managed by "the people".
So what are they offering?
As the whitepaper states, they're going head on with the current cloud companies such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and more. This means that they will also offer similar services that allow you to host your application/website/database on the DADI infrastructure.
The services currently in development:
DADI API (can already be used in production).
The Application Programming Interface of the DADI platform and as DADI states can be seen as the data layer within a platform and can be plugged into a templating layer such as the DADI Web.
DADI Content delivery network (CDN) (can already be used in production).
The content delivery network to distribute your websites to various edges around the globe.
DADI Identity
Identification within your DADI infrastructure and allows to identify individuals. Works with Track and Visualize.
DADI Match
Framework for automated content classification through machine learning.
DADI Predict
Fond of AI? This is a machine learning data layer that can predict user behaviour at an individual lvel based on their past actions.
DADI Publish (can already be used in production).
Want to publish content? This is the service for you. It allows a flexible interface to optimise your work as an editor.
DADI Queue (can already be used in production).
Can be seen as the answer to Amazon AWS SQS and similar products. It's lightweight and is used for simple task routing.
DADI Track
For all those data lovers out there (including me), track can be used to, in real time, stream data to a endpoint to store.
DADI Visualize
Additionally you can use DADI Visualize to visualize all that data for you in a dedicated DADI Visualize interface.
DADI Web (can already be used in production).
Want to host your website on DADI? This is the answer to that question.
DADI Store
Fond of Amazon S3? This is the answer to that product by DADI.
Already in production
Some of the services are already in production and are used by DADI and other parties at this very moment. This makes DADI a very strong player in the world of cryptocurrencies and very interesting as an investment.
How do they make it decentralized?
DADI has designed/defined various node types that provide specific functionality to the platform.
Hosts
Hosts run the DADI container service which makes us of virtual machines and Docker. A host node is a collection of services and service locator.
Gateways
The "master node" in a ad hoc cluster containing/compromising one gateway and many hosts. As the whitepaper states the gateway is the entry point for consumer requests and handles host authentication, translates requests to jobs and manages a job request pool.
You can see the gateway as the caretaker or project manager of the host nodes.
Stargates
Similar to gateways they also provide an additional DNS layer which manages domain name mapping into the DADI Network.
Controversy
A couple of days ago a claim of plagiarism was made against DADI regarding the whitepaper containing parts of SONM's whitepaper. SONM is a super computer service powered by mining.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DADI/comments/7oeg4q/dadi_has_plagiarized_parts_of_sonm_whitepaper_why/
However, mentioned in the article above, DADI did respond through Telegram with the following message:
We respect SONM - we think it's one of the best projects out there
And the SONM white paper was one the best that we've seen. We absolutely learnt from it and leant on it when informing the structure of our own paper
As has been pointed out, this is clear when looking at the high level theoretical architecture for the contract logic on page 38 of our paper
However this is where the similarities stop. In terms of the important bits, the actual technical implementation (we both have testnets), there's not a shred of crossover. Our core technologies are completely different
We are two projects in the same space, but we are not directly competing. Rather we complement each other in what is a very large market
ICO
The Presale will start on the 22nd of January (12:00 UTC), 2018.
Number of DADI tokens: 10.000.000 at $0.40 USD.
The Public sale will start on the 29th of January (12:00 UTC), 2018.
Number of DADI tokens: 50.000.000 at $0.50 USD.
As far as I believe the Presale has already been sold out.
The total token supply will be 100.000.000.

Conclusion
The DADI project looks very promising and they are used among a lot of projects already. They truly show a lot of potential and can provide a true change in the current world of cloud companies.
DADI has tackled the claim of plagiarism very well and have a very active community which currently counts more than 18000 members on Telegram alone.
Let's see where this one goes!
Have a good day!
