I dont think OPEN ist the new XRP. As far as I know XRP itself is not used as a currency, but as a utility token. The other thing is that payments done with cryptocurrency is far away from being mainstream. One factor is that is is complicated and another one is the volatity of 99.9% of all coins out there. OPEN trys to replace FIAT, XRP tries to conserve FIAT. We will see what system will get the upper hand finally.

    XRP has the ingredient, and the transaction is far more quicker than Bitcoin itself. The rest is in the hand of devs.
