Unfortunately, this seems too good to be true. Usually this means it actually is, and this is nothing more than a scam. Could be that the program you download actually uses your CPU to mine BTC for the person who made it, but there's no way to "generate" bitcoin that I'm aware of without mining, and one computer definitely will not be able to generate "0.5 to 1 BTC per hash" as advertised on this website. I've not tried it either, but I've heard a lot of people on Steemit who have given it a shot, and Genesis Mining isn't a scam. I've heard the payouts are low, but anything technically is risky, so good idea on doing your research!
