Thanks for the clear explanation of this consensus algorithm. It really helps to have a deeper understanding of the differences between the various cryptos so that we can do better comparisons and evaluations of them.

Awesome explanation.

This also means there's an additional responsibility on coin holders to be conscious of voting and be part of it. What happens when the majority of coin holders are ignorant of or irreverent to the importance of voting?

Would it be fair to say that an increase in the presence of "short term" holders (assuming most wouldn't bother partaking in voting process) point to trustworthiness of the network?
