Ratings Agency Rates cryptocurrency BTC ETH, steem score higher
Rating agency delivered a haughty blow to the beloved bitcoin. Rating it at a C, with steem as a B- and Ethereum highest at a B. I've been running into a few people who have ETH and wouldn't touch Bitcoin with a 10 foot pole, that really.. Couldn't even explain what blockchain is. They just heard it was a good investment. Which, is kind of scary.. And shows the sentiment of the market, however.. It is good for anyone hoping for the flippening.
South Korea Fines Exchanges for Privacy failures

Upbit, ripply4y, Coinpia, Youbit, Korbit, Coinone, Coinplug, as well as eyalabs. The individual fines scale from 9,000$ to 14,000$.
KCC Chairman said
"While the security threats such as virtual currency speculation and hacking of handling sites are increasing, the actual situation of personal information protection of major virtual currency exchanges is very weak. Therefore, we will try to reduce the damage of users through more strict sanctions."

Crypto Exchange Promises Divideds to investors
Coinspark, new type of 'decentralized' exchange is arising as a potential safe haven for South Koreans in case of any harsh bans or legslation. This model is giving 25% of the profits back to those holding some of their 25 mln Spark tokens will receive dividends in regards to token holdings. Coinspark partnered with AlphaPoint for this project, and are doing a no presale ICO. Set to launch with 10 core crypto's in April, against 200+ fiat currencies. They hope to provide "adequate" live chat support 24/7.
This should be interesting.. Lets see how crazy we can get, cryptosphere.

Coinbase made over 1b$ last year alone
I'm not sure what to even say about this. We NEED decentralized exchanges. Do you know the kind of innovation this could have done for the crypto sphere? What kind of AMAZING project we'd have if a decentralized exchange would set the fee pool to a bounty system, where the investors could control what bounties there would be.. To drive the platforms innovation?
Not only would give back to the community. But would be community controlled.
I have to say one thing.. These fees and premiums are ridiculous and inexcusable. This is pure greed, and is a leech to the cryptosphere. We need innovation.

We really need to run our own exchanges. That 1 B$ would do so much for our crypto space!

totally agree. why are we making coinbase rich? their customer service is lousy. if a steemian did that start up, could keep overheads down, employ dedicated steemians as staff, and make money while still re funneling money back into the business. also could possibly give government the legal middle finger

Are the only people left trading either pump and dumpers or ultra-late comers? It seems that many, many people have already moved a portion of their stack back to fiat, and it seems that many of the big wallets are just waiting for fiat to collapse completely.
Rofl, about a bitcoin fine for each exchange, really looks like some soft gloves used for now, that's positive news for traders on those exchanges.
I love the notion of decentralized exchanges, I just wish it wouldn't desync from the node every time I'm trying to place an order... need more nodes!!!
Well, countries can kind of contain trading if the major fiat exit points are controlled by big old-money backers, we'd have to go fully decentralized and cash-in-hand trading to change that paradigm. I'm glad these new exchanges are popping up every day. Thanks for the news feed, it's always informative!
